About the Model

Daiane Conterato

While Paul Rowland was on Christmas vacation in Brazil, he spotted the beauty and immediately brought Daiane into the modeling world. Brazilian fashion model Daiane Conterato was born in Porto Alegre. The Supreme Management representative made her debut on the catwalk in 2006 for Prada’s fall runway show in Milan, and thereafter walked for Chanel and opened for Alexander Mcqueen in 2007. Conterato also began to emerge in editorials and on covers of magazines such as L’Uomo Vogue, V Magazine, French Vogue, Italian Vogue, British Vogue, The New York Times, and T Style Magazine.

The brunette, two inches shy of six feet, has appeared in ad campaigns for Marc Jacobs, Miss Sixty, and Rebecca Taylor. In 2007, Marie Claire bookings editor Amy Argento labeled Daiane as one of the new top ten models in the industry.

By 2009, Conterato was walking runways left and right for a number of designers and brands such as Armani Privé, Alexander Mcqueen, Balenciaga, Christian Dior, Dries van Noten, Givenchy, Jean Paul Galtier and Miu Miu.  She furthermore had the honor of opening for Alexandre Herchcovitch, Christopher Kane and Ann Demeulemeester, and closing for Yohji Yamamato.  During the same year, Daiane shot for an editorial in Elle Magazine, and a cover for Tank Magazine.

As Conterato wasn’t already accomplished enough, 2009 brought another successful year for Conterato as she opened runway shows for Alexandre Herchcovitch and Proenza Schouler, and closed for Anne Demeulemeester.  She was photographed by Bruno Aveillan for an editorial in Grey, and appeared on the cover of Brazilian Vogue.   Daiane, also a representative for Women Milan, and Women Paris, could be seen in ads for Akris, and DKNY.  It was in this same year that the model, known for her hair and lips, was ranked #46 on models.com.

In 2010, Conterato left Supreme Management and signed with Ford.  So far this year, she has closed shows in Paris for Hussein Chalayan, and returning clients Anne Demeulemeester and Yohj Yamamato.  Most recently however, the 19 year-old walked in the Jean Gaultier couture show in July.

With so much success at such a young age, we can only expect to see more great things from the Brazilian beauty in the coming seasons.
