Brown says she finds “A strong brow, and bedroom eyes” beautiful. Her beliefs are “makeup is a way for a woman to look and feel like herself, only prettier and more confident.”. Through Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, she enables women to look beautiful and maintain their individuality. Bobbi was inspired by makeup at a very young age she says, “I remember watching my mother apply her white eye shadow and black liner in her blue gilded bathroom—she was glamorous, but fresh-looking.”. And as soon as she was old enough, Bobbi rushed to the cosmetics store and got a taste of what she had been loving all along her childhood.

Brown went to college at Boston’s Emerson College, where she earned a B.F.A. in theatrical makeup. After she graduated she obtained a residence in NYC. Bobbi wen’t through what all makeup artists do, after going through lots of people to look at her portfolio. After hard times, Bobbi finally obtained contact after contact of fashion magazines, models and photographers. Bobbi truly learned this the hard way. She earned her career today as being the number one makeup artist of fashion elite.

Bobbi Brown began her work with Bruce Weber, and Arthur Elgort for American Vogue, as well as with the late Francesco Scavullo for Cosmopolitan and Self. A seven page spread with Tatiana Patitz—shot by Wayne Maser—also debuted her fantastic work. Seven years after arriving to NYC, Bobbi was finally part of the A List. Bobbi had her big taste of fame when she shot with Patrick Demarchelier, for her first big cover of Vogue.

After arriving to the A List crowd, with everyone at her disposal Brown couldn’t find a makeup that made women look naturally beautiful. She found all the makeup to be artificial. That is when Bobbi Brown set out with her chemist to create a makeup that made women look beautiful naturally.
Today, Brown the icon, can be found teaching inspiring makeup artist techniques taking them to a higher level. Bobbi still works with the most renown photographers. To gracing the the behind the scenes runway working areas applying make up.  Thus working with some of the top renown fashion models of the world.
