Balenciaga’s ripple effect looks very Latino inspired and was the Designer Nicolas Ghesquire’s final collection for the design house. Flamenco style dresses with plunging necklines; Handkerchief skirts with a opposing color on the lining and paired with boxy tops. Sharp tailored suits with crisscrossed bras underneath made a bold statement. Sexy is how this designer showed off his last collection with the house. Skin was shown in all the right places and he made a powerful exit that will be remembered in fashion history.

Gucci brightened things up with bright colors and bold soft ruffles. Glamorous chiffon gowns flowed down the runway with ruffles that wrapped around the body. Extravagant jewelry was paired with these stunning garments. Cut outs gave sneak peaks of skin. Leisure suits with ruffled sleeves and an air of elegant summer colors flirted down the runway. This is a complete “360” from the last dark collection and kick starts spring in the right direction.

Givenchy softened things up with sweet and light pastel colors and fluttering ruffles. Bishop sleeved jackets and soft dresses with ruffles around the neckline bring delicate in style this season. Chloe also show cased a very feminine light colored collection. The house celebrated its 60th anniversary with light hearted girly dresses with a 60’s inspiration and Claire Waight Keller pulled off an amazing anniversary collection.

J.W. Anderson ruffled things up during his spring collection and also launched his collaboration with Topshop this spring. Asymmetrical skirts with off kilt ruffles sent a powerful frill through the tent in Bedford Square. Ruffled shorts and skirts with flounce tops, chunky chokers and mod ankle boots did not disappoint!

If your seeking frills and ruffles you won’t have to look far this season. This trend is wearable. Try a asymmetrical ruffle skirt with a simple blouse for work. Date night; wear a girly pastel colored dress with soft ruffles that frame the face. Night out on the town with the girls; go for a black ruffle dress that instantly adds edge.

Even if it is just a day of shopping wear a fun wrap dress with ruffles swooping around the body. Have fun and don’t be afraid of a little flounce.
