Bright colored bold prints have come back into the fashion arena. These prints and patterns have an artistic quality with reminders of the psychedelic 60’s and wild child 80’s! They are courageously gracing the fashion world. This trend is for the fearless and daring fashion lover.

Longchamp has fun dresses with abstract art prints and bold colors. The dress in the advertisement below is amazing. The dress colors and the building with a stair case leading downward with a fun flirty shoe are sassy and flirtatious.

Proenza Schouler is well known for his bold prints and patterns.
For spring 2013 he does not disappoint. He has multiple prints paired together, palm trees and blue sky’s matched with blue solids and green tree prints. Logo prints with screen printed faces peer back at the viewer. They weave and zig zag this and that way in a dance of madness that brings a smile to my face. It is raw and a break from the norm which is refreshing.

MOSCHINO

Moschino trademarked his men with logo printed suits and outfits. The runway looked like a grocery store isle meets the world of mass marketing. His collection drew inspiration from pop culture and the famous artist Andy Warhol. Loud and branded you pay attention to Moschino; if you were not already. With his spring collection he definitely put a fun spin on fashion.

Prints and bright colors strided down designer runways, such as Armani Prive,  Vivienne Tam, Clover Canyon,
Falguni & Shane Peacock, Balmain, and Versace, Versus and Resort 2013.

VERSACE

My love for Versace started in my early teens; Gianni Versace captivated me with his bold colors and prints. I’ve always had a love for fashion, but he was the first designer I adored and so wanted to meet one day. Tragically, he was murdered in 1997 and that dream was never to be.

His sister Donatella took over the design house and carried on with stunning garments and much success. You can see why Versace was the first designer that came to my mind when the bold colored print trend starting happening all over again from reading this Australian Article from Vogue 1991.

Donatella’s Resort 2013 collection brings back my awe for Versace with vibrant colors and classic Versace style prints. The collection has an edgy glam punk infused rock and roll 80’s fringe. Dark eyeliner, razor short hair and brazen tailored blazers, skirts and dresses trimmed with copper snaps and beads.

It wouldn’t be rock with out a little leather! Sexy leather sheath dresses, flirty circle skirts, blazers and leather pants smash into resort; grasping at the fashion rebel inside. Prints snap and pop with music notes, guitars, roses and mouth watering colors.
