For hundreds of years we have been wearing fabric adorned with beautiful flower motifs. Once these floral prints were valuable high priced garmentsthat only the wealthy could obtain, yes they were a status symbol. What woman does not love flowers in one form or another?

Walking down every spring runway across the world was a bed of roses, daises, tulips and a mixture of flowers. Flower head pieces, necklaces and accessories graced the runways of the world as well. Flowers exploded on the runways of Christopher Kane, Suno, Preen, Ralph Lauren, Rochas, Viktor & Rolf, Costello & Tagliapietra, Richard Chi Love, Honor, Peter Som, Paul & Joe, Prada, Balmain, Etro and the list goes on and on.

Naeem Khan his black beauty of the rose evokes a special powerful romance. Zac Posen is a little more restrained than his normal look, but his floral prints still show he is the master of his craft. Posen shows off very clean and precise lines that draw the eye to the garment.

Erdem 2013 Resort evokes memories of the vining flower gardens of the south. His resort collection is toned down from his spring runway collection with its bolder prints and optical illusions. I love the simple quaint clean background, sleek pulled back hair and vibrant color and elegance of the south in the resort 2013 collection.
