Chanel’s creative director Karl Lagerfeld created a masterpiece eyewear collection for 2011/12 Autumn/Winter. The collection is entitled “Chanel Prestige Eyewear” and the campaign features supermodel Claudia Schiffer adorned with glasses and sunglasses from the collection. Claudia is known as one of the original supermodel’s from the ’90s era and is considered to be Lagerfeld’s long-time muse. Lagerfeld being a photographer also, photographed images of Schiffer for the Prestige Eyewear fall ’11 campaign. During the photo shoot, the model was nicely instructed to rotate circularly while placed in a spinning black chair. The efforts were to “take the right turn” for a signature Chanel snapshots.
In antecendent designs of clothing and accessories, the brand has materialized a particular iconographic style that enhanced the fabricated fixtures of the Chanel look; for that season. These seasonal iconographic styles have included inspirations driven from- pearls, quilts, camellias, ears of wheat, vintage buttons and so on. This season’s Chanel Prestige Eyewear collection highlights an iconic interwoven leather and chain temple, the interwoven technique is in similar manner to the Chanel Classic Quilted 2.55 Handbag. Just like the signature Chanel handbag has preference options, the “Chanel Prestige Eyewear” collection has options too. The eyewear collection includes optical eyeglasses and eye-protective sunglasses in a phenomenon of different colors, trendy shapes and sizes.
