Louis Vuitton Maison Singapore

This September 18th in Singapore’s luxurious Shoppes on the waterfront of the  Marina Bay Sands promenade, Louis Vuitton is opening a new store. Unlike any others in the area, its cutting edge architecture stands out with stunning un-square geometry and spacial design, and creative use of contemporary construction. With nautical-themed interiors by internationally renowned architect Peter Marino, visitors are destined to enjoy an exceptional shopping experience. This Luis Vuitton Maison, the fifth LV Singapore store, brings to Southeast Asia a retail concept and sophistication sure to establish it as a regional landmark.

The Island Maison stays close to the brand’s fundamentals, the desire to make each journey a refined and personal experience. The ground floor offers displays of the complete selection of men’s and women’s ready to wear, leather goods, shoes and accessories. Moving to the mezzanine level, a romantic travel theme prevails with travel luggage and accessories showcased in the first Travel Room in Asia Pacific. A private lounge for intimate presentations and an outdoor gallery themed as the deck of a yacht are there as well.

Referring to this island as a “store” is bothersome. Calling this Crystal Pavillian Maison a “store” is like walking on the moon and calling it a “flight stopover”. Even getting to the Maison is a treat, with visitor access through a tunnel that showcases pieces of contemporary art. This tunnel connects to the Marina Bay Sands Mall. Visits start in the Louis Vuitton bookstore where consumers are encouraged to browse the specially chosen selection of art, cultural and design books. On the same floor, shoppers will use the spiral staircase to enter a magnified space with timepieces, fine jewelry and exceptional leather bags. The Louis Vuitton Island Maison at Marina Bay Sands will be the 12th Maison in the world and first Maison in Southeast Asia. There are currently 459 Louis Vuitton stores in 63 countries.
